Who Benefits
- Patients with diabetes or peripheral neuropathy who cannot safely trim their own nails
- Patients with peripheral arterial disease where minor cuts can become major problems
- Patients with thickened, dystrophic, or fungal nails
- Older patients with limited mobility or vision
What’s Included
Sterile trimming and reduction of thickened or dystrophic nails, debridement of corns and calluses, and an inspection of the entire foot for early signs of skin breakdown, neuropathic ulceration, or vascular compromise. Most insurance covers routine nail care for qualifying patients.
A Visit That Matters
A 15-minute nail care visit with Dr. O’Carroll often catches a problem - a small ulcer, a fungal infection, an early neuropathic change - before it becomes a hospitalization.
