The first time I drove down Highway 101 and watched the cliffs open up to the Pacific north of Pismo Beach, I knew this was where I wanted to practice. Six years on, that feeling has not changed.
The Town
Pismo is small - a few thousand year-round residents, more in the summer. The pier, the dunes, the clam chowder you can smell from a block away. It is also a town that takes its outdoor life seriously: morning beach walkers, surfers, retirees who play pickleball five days a week, kids on bikes, runners on the Bob Jones Trail.
What It Means for the Practice
A patient base that uses their feet. Hikers, walkers, golfers, surfers, gardeners. People who don’t want to slow down - and who come to me when something is keeping them from doing the things they love. That is, honestly, the practice I always wanted.
The Office
Our Pismo Beach clinic sits a short walk from the beach. Patients tell me the walk in is one of the better parts of the appointment. The waiting room has a view I don’t take for granted.
If you live in Pismo, Shell Beach, Arroyo Grande, Grover, Oceano, or Avila - this is your closest office. If you live further afield and the drive is reasonable, you’re welcome too.
